Hon. Adeyanju Awoso Enjoined Gov. Abiodun to fastrack Amotekun Security Network in the State.

............. Expressed Deep Concerns Over Security issues in his Constituency.

The Chairman House Committee on Health, Hon. Chief Adeyanju Adegoke Awoso representing Yewa North State Constituency 1, at the plenary held yesterday commended his Excellency Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun MFR on the even distribution of the state security trust fund vehicles especially for the one given to Igbogila and environs.

Hon. Awoso also expressed deep concerns and displeasure in the way kidnappers are tormenting his constituency most especially Ayetoro Town, which is the Headquarter of the Yewa North Local Government Area. He appealed to His Excellency to extend one of the patrol vehicles to Ayetoro Police division because more than 2 kidnapping cases have been recorded this year among in which a female police officer was a victim. He added that over 15 million naira have been paid as ransom this year alone. He expressed worry that as the dry season approaches, Fulani's herdsmen will also add to the menace while the expected resumption of OOU students (College of Agriculture) in Ayetoro without a single security patrol vehicle will be a great risk.

Hon. Awoso submitted that eversince a patrol vehicle was given to Igbogila and environs, kidnapping activities, stealing of motorcycles and Fulani herdsmen menace have drastically reduced. In this regard, he enjoined His Excellency Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun to fastrack the Amotekun Security Network in the state so as to strengthen the security outlook of the state

Also at the plenary, Hon. Awoso who is the Chairman House Committee on Health, pleaded that the Health Insurance Bill passed by Ogun State House of Assembly few weeks ago and sent to His Excellency Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun MFR for his assent should be treated with urgency so that Ogun State will not be left out in the benefit of billions of naira given to all States in the federation that have the Insurance Law in place. He stated that the intervention fund has been approved by the Senate through the Senate Chairman Committee on Health, Senator (Dr.) Oloriegbe noting that the fund will help the Ogun State Health Sector at this crucial time.

The speaker Ogun State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Olukunle Oluomo appreciated Hon. Awoso for his submissions and promised to look into the matter and do the needful.
