Nigeria was better off during Obasanjo/Atiku administration: —All Atiku Support Group replies the APC.

Responding to the media statement by  the All Progressives Congress attacking the former Vice President, ATIKU Abubakar for admonishing the Buhari’s Government for not doing enough to alleviate the peoples untold sufferings under his regime and refusal to pursue workable policies.

The statement reads:

We read with utter dismay the vituperation by the failed APC government, as usual running from their shadows whenever realities stare them in the face and looking for excuses and escape routes for their abysmal failures.

First, the Former Vice President is known for his patriotic stance whenever it comes to national issues, totally devoid of political or any irresponsible sentiment for that matter.

Secondly, we  will like to remind and refresh the memories of the APC and indeed the entire Nigerians that our country was better off during the Obasanjo/Atiku administration, with all intent and purposes it was a government that came into being after years of long military rule, but Obasanjo/  Atiku leadership at the time succeeded in establishing a firm platform for the good governance of Nigeria. Beyond this, they were able to make monumental and landmark achievements that  have taken away our country from the brink of collapse.

The APC led government should be reminded that it is to the charging of Obasanjo- Atiku, but also on records that the following were achieved:

1. Obasanjo- Atiku administration paid off Nigeria’s entire debt, while the Buhari junta quintupled Nigeria foreign debt.

2. GDP grew at an average of 6.2% under OBJ- ATIKU, while under Buhari has been characterized by negative GDP growth and a recession.

3. Non- oil sector contribution under Obasanjo- ATIKU was higher than it is today.

4. In the years the PDP governed Nigeria, no dead man/ woman was ever appointed into government, but under Buhari, appointing the dead to man critical areas of government has become common place.

5. Various anti corruption agencies were established and this saw many high level corrupt persons prosecuted and sentenced unlike the selective anti corruption promoted by Buhari’s government.

6. Under the Obasanjo- Atiku administration, the Nigeria economy improved significantly compared to the almost collapsing  economy under the APC led administration.

 Many including those at the helms of affairs in the APC led government today enjoyed, and lived a peaceful ,  secured, prosperous and fulfilling life under the Obasanjo-Atiku Administration.

It is no news that the baptismal and second name of the APC led government is incompetence and failure.
