Babachir Lawal is living in Fools’ Paradise... Turaki Vanguard North East Zone.

Press Statement

Our attention has been drawn to a statement credited to the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation taking a swipe at our Leader,  the highly revered and respected former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Babachir Lawal in his usual lousy and uncouth manner  was seen campaigning for Bola Tinubu, but in his own estimation felt the political career of the Nigerian political godfather coming to an end.

One wonders how easy and realistic this erroneous feeling can be. He must be living in fools paradise and suffering from Dementia.

However, it is important to remind Babachir Lawal that his statement was  filled with jealousy and envy of  the unrivaled achievements of the political enigma of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar. Turaki Vanguard wondered how many personalities in Adamawa today can equate the gestures of Atiku Abubakar to the good people of the State.

Babachir Lawal needs be reminded that he is no where in the league of Atiku Abubakar in all ramifications, it will take Babachir another life to rival or near the accomplishments of Atiku.

Atiku was an accomplished civil servants for over two decades, he was also a Vice President of Nigeria for eight years, he is a successful businessman and throughout these soujourn he was not found culpable of any misdeed or  corruption while in and outside the Government .

It is on record that Babachir was less than two years in government, and monumental corruption was found on him, we all know what led to his disgraceful removal from  the exalted position, even President Buhari could not save him because of the magnitude of corruption. In an ideal country, Lawal should be cooling off in maximum prison by now.

Of course, Babachir is not to be blamed, if not President Buhari who brought a man of questionable character, poor in mind and spirit to the top level of government.

Atiku does not know or has never met Babachir Lawal until his appointment as SGF, even his tribe in Adamawa is minority inside minority, rather than learn from the master,  his arrogance beclouded his sense of reasoning and he dropped badly  from Grace to grass.

Let it be said that,  as far as Nigeria is concerned today, Atiku Abubakar is the toast of the entire nation, they cannot wait to have him as their next President.

Babachir should also be reminded that Tinubu has limited option and 2023 ambition for Tinubu may just be a forlorn hope. Nigerians know who should govern them. For Babachir Lawal, time will tell.
