Ogun Government Assures NANS Ogun JCC of Urgent Attention in Response to their Demands

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN STUDENTS NANS OGUN JCC
Yesterday, the leadership of NANS Ogun JCC met with the Chief of Staff, Senior Special Adviser on political matters and the Special Adviser on Government House to the Ogun State Governor in respect to the open letter addressed to the state Governor.
The NANS Chairman, Comr Bamgbose Tomiwa cited displeasure on the state of the education sector of the state as the motive for the open letter was to point out issues that needs immediate attention of the state government which are;
i. Increment of subvention disbursed to state owned tertiary institution.
ii. Rehabilitation and repair of all roads leading to all state owned tertiary institution.
iii. Empowerment of police personnel attached to any student environment with motorable security vans to combat robbery and other social vice's in the environment.
iv. Empowerment of all institution school clinics with drugs and other medical apparatus in order to be more efficient and serve as a save home to get urgent medical attentions.
V. Payment of bursary.
The leadership of NANS OGUN JCC was assured that immediate attention will be given to issues raised in the open letter
The Chief of Staff to the Governor Alhaji Shuaib Salisu assures the students leaders of urgent attention in response to the demands. He also assure NANS of the commitment of Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration to education and student welfarism, he then gave his words that issues pointed out will be worked out in reasonable time.
The Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters Rt. Hon Tunji Egbetokun also confirmed the commitment of the administration to education while discussing with the students leaders, He also assures NANS of the support of the administration in all students oriented programs. He however advised for peace and stability within all students' association so as to bring about more development to the education sector.
The chairman appreciated the Chief of Staff to the State Governor, the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on political matters and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Government House for their timely response to the voice of Nigerian students in the state, while reaffirming the support of Nigerian students for the present adminstration of the State. The chairman urge the government to also employ capable hands from the students constituency in his government as he said such moves will foster a progressive relationship that will further enhance educational development and improved students welfarism in this administration.
He further assures Nigerian students to remain calm as we await the swift response of the government to the plight of Nigeria students.
Education is a right !!! Not a privilege !!!
