Fabiyi Oladimeji is an Accountant, business man and a politician. He was also the Deputy Director, contact & Mobilisation in charge of support groups in the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation. He is also the Conveyner/ Chairman, Better Nigeria Group (BNG). A civil society Organisation.

In this exclusive interview, he laid bear the issues and state of our Nation..please read:

Q. Good morning Hon. Fabiyi Oladimeji, how are you doing?

A. I'm good, very good as you can see we are forging ahead and not losing hope even in the face of confusion, insecurity, lack of development, very dishonest government, instability and uncertainty about what may happen tomorrow. Its nice to have you around gentlemen and lady.

Q. Is our nation Nigeria in a state of confusion, instability and uncertainty as you just mentioned?

A. What then or how can one  describes the situation in our country at the moment, if not all I have mentioned earlier?...Cuts in..because many people may not agree with you because of their believe that President Buhari has  done well in the circumstances and he had promised to do more at his inauguration for the second term.

A. Isn't it laughable and ridiculous to say, agree or believe as you used it  that PMB is doing well, I ask for the parameters and yardstick to reach such conclusion. It is very obvious that we have today in Nigeria a total inept leadership without requisite knowledge and vision about how to run a country like Nigeria.

I ask is it the incessant killings on daily basis, is it the electoral fraud,  violence and stolen mandates at the just concluded general elections corroborated by the INEC?  Is it the corruption that stinks to the high heaven under the nose of President Buhari?  Is it the total collapse of our economy where Nigerians are finding it difficult to make ends meet and  that they don't have answers for? Etc so how can someone in this age and time say Buhari has done well or is doing well?? Its not just absurd but insulting to the sensibilities of Nigerians.

Q. What is your view on the on going Presidential election tribunal where the PDP and Atiku are challenging the outcome of the election?

A. First and foremost, I want to commend His Excellency Atiku Abubakar and the PDP for challenging the results.  Atiku will ultimately win, he may not get justice in the Appeal court tribunal but im sure by the Grace of God he will get justice at the supreme court..cuts in..why did you say so?

I say so because it is obvious that the tribunal at the appeal court are /will do the bidding of the APC and President Buhari, let's take a que from some of their ruling on the pre trial level. First they ruled that Buhari' s lawyer can correct mistakes made in the initial process filed, which was against the existing previous ruling of the supreme court that was granted in favour of the same Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN the President's Lawyer at the current  tribunal that election petition tribunal is not like every other cases, once you filed and made mistakes you cant correct it again, inspite of this supreme court ruling, their lordship still went ahead and granted the order for him to correct the mistakes, this is my own understanding is a big signal that Atiku may not get justice at that level.

Secondly, the essence of pre trial is to a greater extent to  look into all grey area and settle before going in to the main trial ,which the inspection of server as requested by Atiku lawyers intends to achieve, but the ruling refused it on flimsy reasons that its part of the main case and should be heard then  bla bla bla.

Our judiciary must remember that all eyes and hopes are on them and they owe it a duty to strengthen our Democracy, protect our justice system and judiciary as a whole being the last hope of a common man. It is left for them to do what is just regardless of who is involved. Justice must be seen to be served.

After all, its not about Atiku, PDP , APC  or Buhari but  they must resist the intimidation, temptation and  refrain from making it look like its about Buhari because its about our country and her future not about any single individual.

Q. You are quite deep and expressive here, but let me ask further your take on the proposed appointment of new justices of the supreme court. Do you see any thing untoward in this regards?

A. Thank you. Like i said I'm not a lawyer but as an intelligencia who is well read , I read , i ask relevant questions. My take on this is that the judiciary has a process of appointment into the supreme court, and all other cadre of our courts system.

I think if the process is followed and not relegated or circumvented as is the trade mark of the President Buhari's government, I don't see any problem, you know this government have serious penchant for the disregarding the rule of law and manipulation of process and procedure to suit their interest because interest of Nigeria and Nigerians do not matter to them.

I read somewhere I can't readily remember here about two weeks ago  that the Executives under PMB are planning to introduce and  impose five SAN who is loyal to them to be appointed into those vacant positions at the supreme court just to make the judgement favour them at the end, and that is why you see them do a lot of things with utter impunity and disregard for the rule of law, but   if this is true then, Nigeria is in serious trouble.

To me the appointment is welcome as Long  as its done according to the lay down process, in good faith and interest of Nigeria.

Q. In the last couple of months the Fulani crisis has heightened the spate of insecurity, and the government seems to be overwhelmed, if I may say, the boko haram issues has refused to be abated, what's your take on all this?

A. It is quite unfortunate that the government of President Buhari who we all believe had A1" Excellent"  in security matters is finding it so difficult to tackle Nigeria Insecurity successfully. My friend, they are not overwhelmed but just lack the right strategy, capacity and courage required tackle all these security challenges.. I see a deliberate efforts to use the Fulani herdsmen challenge to make a statement to the entire country and beyond  that Fulani ethnic group is a major factor in Nigeria, this to my mind has never been a debate.

Lets take Fulani herdsmen challenge for instance, President Buhari we were told is the Grand patron of the Miyetti Allah, the umbrella body of the Fulani's across Nigeria and may be Africa. There are evidences of killings by the Fulani herdsmen who incidentally belongs to this body..The Fulani's have an effective structures of leadership, the question therefore is why haven't the government of Buhari called these cadre of leadership and address this mater in a bid to address the challenges being faced by the Fulani's in the course of their cattle business and at the same time address the  attack on innocent Nigerians, to create a win win situation..that will bring about peace in the land. Please ask your President.

I bet you and I say with all sense of responsibility that  Atiku Abubakar ,  a Fulani man has tamper proof and watertight solution to the Fulani herdsmen crisis. He will create a win win situation that will restore lasting peace in our country.. After all there were ways these challenges were being managed in time past. To my mind President Buhari is just being who he is on the matter and he is not truly committed to addressing Fulani matters frontally.

Q. Finally, what is your view on the general polity? For instance President Buhari has been sworn in for the second time what do you expect?

A. Haha,  what do i expect?  What do you expect from an inept government? They said next level, but  we can all see the next level to more poverty, insecurity, hunger and under development..etc.

Up till this moment no meaningful appointment into critical position of government has been made,  a road we travelled four years ago, worst still they just installed a rubber stamped  National Assembly, i pity this country.

My worry however,  is that Buhari government exudes so much arrogance and  confidence like nothing can happen,  they will always get away with anything, they act and pretend as if everything is ok , normal and Nigerians are happy. I tell them its a big misconception, false impression and misguided conclusion.

It is left for Nigerians to either remained docile or wake up from their slumber.

I  wonder why over 17 million Nigerians that voted for Atiku and PDP have remained silent and docile in the face of their stolen mandate. I tell you my brothers and sister we Nigerians are the real problem of Nigeria.. We must wake up and takhe action to secure our future and that of unborn generation. Buhari's government does not seem to guarantee that.
Thank you.
