Property Mogul, Rev Jide Awosedo Is Dead

The Chairman, Grant Property Limited, Rev Olajide Awosedo has breathed his last. The former Governorship aspirant in Ogun state died some hours ago while on a sickbed abroad.

A family source who confirmed Rev Awosedo sudden death this morning, Tuesday, Jun 18, 2019 said the business mogul has been in and out of hospital in the last few months before he finally succumbed to death some hours back.

Asiwaju Olajide Awosedo was born on 4 November 1951 to Rev. Joseph Olusanu Awosedo and Omo-Oba Arinola Adebimpe Awosedo. He hails from Okun-Owa in Odogbolu local government area of the state.

He had his elementary education at St. Barnaba’s Primary School, Okun-Owa, Ijebu and his secondary education at Ijebu Divisional Multilateral Grammar School, Okun-Owa between 1965 and 1969 after which he proceeded to Molusi College, Ijebu- Igbo for his Higher School Certificate between 1971 and 1972.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Hons) Degree in Economics from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife. He holds two Honorary Doctorate Degrees in Christian Missions and Theology as well as an Honorary D.Sc in Property Development from the European-American University, the Dominican Republic.
