Sowunmi Charges Christians To Emulate Exemplary Life Of Jesus Christ As They Celebrate Christmas

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives candidate for Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Mr. Segun Showunmi  has called on Christians to emulate the virtuous life of tolerance, love, sacrifice and forgiveness as preached and practiced by Jesus Christ as they join their counterparts all over the world to celebrate this year’s Christmas.

Showunmi stated this in a Press statement signed and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta on Monday. The Abeokuta born politician described Christmas as a period to show love to the vulnerable people in the society.

"Christmas is not only about celebration. It is a period when Christians are expected to show love to the less privileged as exemplified by our Lord Jesus Christ," he said.

Speaking further, Showunmi urged Nigerians to continue to live in peace and harmony irrespective of  religious beliefs and ethnic background, just as he called on Nigerians to pray for a peaceful Nigeria as we approach the 2019 elections.
