NEW YEAR: Ijebu Chief decried the deplorable state of infrastructure in Ijebu land,

...... charges Ijebus to vote for a governor who will develop Ijebu land and calls for peaceful participations in 2019 elections.

 Giwa Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu "Kuye", Alhaji Suraju Lasisi, has called on the Ijebu sons and daughters to participates in the upcoming 2019 general elections. He has advised every Ijebu people to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner, maintain a high level of decorum and ensure  peaceful coexistence among themselves in the forthcoming general elections.

Giwa added that 2019 general elections is an opportunity for the good people of Ijebu land to choose a new governor for the state. He charges the good sons and daughters of Ijebu nation to vote for a friendly governor. A governor who will be friendly to the Ijebu land. A governor who will develop our nation, Ijebu. A governor who will rescussitate our economy. A governor who will reconstruct our roads. All roads in Ijebu land are in a comatose and there is urgent need for infrastructural development policy for its rescussitation.

In a new year message signed by the Publicity Secretary of the Egbe, Comrade Akeem Temitope Akilo, Giwa Alhaji Suraju Lasisi felicitates with the entire members of Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu "Kuye" and all Ijebu sons and daughters, home and abroad on the occasion of the new year celebration.

Alhaji Suraju Lasisi is the Giwa (President) Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu "Kuye". Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu is the traditional age group of Ijebu sons and daughters born in the year 1977, 1978, and 1979. The group was established with royal proclamation by Alaiyeluwa, Oba (Dr) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, CFR,  J.P. Ogbagba ll, Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebu Land.
