●Abeokuta South Federal Constituency agog as Owolabi Kola-Balogun notify his constituents members of his legislative ambition.
●Constituents lament on bad legislative representation that has bedeviled the constituency.
●Residents affirm their satisfaction in the PDP as a credible alternative to liberate them from the shackles of bad governance

 Abeokuta South Federal Constituency  was thrown into a frenzy mood on Wednesday, 29th August, 2018 as a leading aspirant for the House of Representatives, Owolabi Kola-Balogun officially declared his ambition to contest for Abẹ́òkúta South Federal Constituency legislative seat.
OKB as he is popularly and politically known was welcomed with drums and music by constituents who trooped out in their numbers to witness the official declaration at Chief Coker House, opposite Kaab Filling Station, Okejigbo, Abeokuta.

OKB also met all the party leaders, LG Excos and all the fifteen (15) wards executives in the local government. Also present at the declaration venue were various groups (OKB Volunteers Movement, OKB Ambassadors, OKB Unity Forum, OKB Babes, OKB salvation army, The Organized Labour and many other groups to show their support and solidarity towards his ambition.

Owolabi Kola-Balogun while speaking appreciated the massive turnout and warmth reception. He further stressed that the legislature remains the only platform by which the voice of the common man can be heard. He then pledged to represent the interest of the people by providing them a voice in policy making and governance.

OKB gave a robust and detailed explanation on different empowerment programme he has in his arsenal that will alleviate the suffering of his constituents. He (OKB) will cater for at least 1,500 youths across the federal constituency and also empower our women with loan facility of #500million with zero percent interest. Also, he gave concise and precise answer to questions from party leaders, he said his plans are not to jostle for party leadership but to liberate the people from hunger and incessant poverty in his little capacity.

He also debunked the rumour emanating from the other side that he is a new comer in the party and politics, OKB reiterated that he was part of the party struggle and his involvement could be traced back to 2012 when he FORMED & sponsored GEJ 2015 support group. He told the teeming crowd not to be distracted by their propaganda and blackmail but should remain committed to the political struggles ahead.

In the course of the programme, OKB donated a bus to the leadership of the party in Abeokuta South Local Government for smooth running of their daily activities.

He assured all that with their unwavering and unflinching support, he will provide all necessary logistics that will ensure the victory for the party at all levels and also deliver the constituency block votes for the party in order to ensure victory for the party gubernatorial candidates Hon. Dr Oladipupo Adebutu Keshington as dividends of democracy will be highly unprecedented.

Constituents further expressed confidence in OKB to solve the problem and vowed to do everything in their power to make sure that he emerges in the polls through active mobilisations.
