OGUN 2019: ANOTHER WIZKID GUN FOR ABEOKUTA SOUTH FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY ABUJA SEAT

A House of Representatives Aspirant Hon Ayodeji Michael Shomide have assured the good people of Abeokuta South Federal Constituency that he will sponsor people oriented bills and ensure that matters that have direct positive impact on his Constituency are pursued vigorously if given their mandate at the 2019 general elections.

He said this while declaring his intention to contest for the House of Representatives from Abeokuta South Federal Constituency.

Speaking at the APC party Secretariat in Abeokuta South Local Government, Shomide said he meant well for the people, his constituency and that is why he has deemed it fit to join the race and he knew he can't do it alone despite having resources on ground.

In his words, "I don't just want to go outside and be campaigning without consulting you the elders in letting you know my plans, it will be a slap on your face which I will never do.

"I am very loyal and humble, and I must tell you the fact that, I have contributed to my society by investing there, I have many staff working under me and staff welfare has been uppermost, so I intend to bring my private business experience into politics.

"This is my first time in politics and I ventured into it because I which to represent the Youth at the Federal House of Representative. It is our time to take over, and be well represented. It is really the time for the youths in Nigeria, Africa and the world as a whole to lead.

"Part of my program is youth development, community support and empowerment. I know there are lots of people that have promised us and failed, we can no longer accept been cheated again, because we don't elect the right people to represent us, and all of their promises which is our needs, they don't get them done when they get to office.

"I promise to represent the constituency very well and I will deliver all my promises. The love many people are showing is very awesome and beyond my imagination, this makes me know that I stand one hundred per cent.

"I will advise the general public to try and register for their permanent voter's card (PVC) and not be deceived when election comes in, they should open their eyes very well to choose the right candidate."

The elder brother to the aspirant, Mr. Christopher Shomide when speaking with journalists made it clear that Michael Shomide is very humble and loyal to the core; this is why the family members came in support of his ambition.

While welcoming the aspirant and his large entourage, the APC chairman for Abeokuta South Local Government, Alhaji Lateef Adenekan urged the aspirant to conduct his campaign with humility and in a gentle manner as the sky is the limit for young political aspirant who are getting set to lead Nigeria in the next political dispensation.

He advised him to shun violence and any other criminal tendencies during his campaign exercise.

Ayodeji Michael Shomide who hails from Ago-Oba area of Abeokuta, went to Baptist Boys High School in Saje and Moshood Abiola Polytechnic before completing his education at West London College. He is into private business as a civil engineer.
