PRESENTATION OF THE HEAD OF IWAYE DODO RULING HOUSE TO IPOKIA TRADITIONAL CHIEFS AT OSUNBA’S QUARTERS IPOKIA

Gentlemen of the Press!

You will agree with me that history is being made today in the annals of Iwaye Adodo ruling house. You will recall that the immediate past monarch,  Late Oba Rauf Oladeinde Adetunji Adeole joined his ancestors on 13th of November 2016 and ever since his final burial rites which came to climax with a civic outing on 15th of April, 2017, the process of selecting his successor has begun. And because Oba Adeole of blessed memory was from Iwaye Sipa ruling house, the baton to produce a new monarch shifts on the next ruling house, IWAYE DODO ruling house. We are the descendants of Iwaye Dodo ruling house.

 OMO OBA ADODO BI OKE

OMO OROJO BA LOBIRIN

OMO IYA - MOO - WE

TO FI GBOGBO OMO BI OBA

The vacant stool left by our progenitor is what we are trying to fill now. And it has been on record that the period of all the Obas (Monarchs) from Iwaye Dodo ruling house has always been very peaceful, remarkable, rewarding and
successful. It has always been a period where IPOKIA and its environs witness tremendous progress and development.

To the glory of God and credit to our amiable, pragmatic, visionary and performing Governor, His Excellency, Senator Ibikunle Amosun FCA, the exit of Oba Adeole witnessed another emergence of development with the establishment of Ogun State Polytechnic Ipokia, which the late kabiesi laboured for during his lifetime. The polytechnic has commenced academic work. This is a mark of a new beginning in the course of choosing another community leader from Iwaye Dodo ruling house.

Without much ado, all the Princes and Princesses of Iwaye Dodo ruling house, both old and young, home and abroad, have continued to meet at our ancestral home to choose the next king from among us as the principle of rotation of the stool among the four ruling houses in accordance with the Ipokia Chieftaincy Declaration as gazetted by government has fallen on us (Iwaye Dodo) house.

Without much ado, the sons and daughters of the ruling house have unanimously selected Prince Abdul Rahman Adenle Asade as the Head of the Family and Prince Yahya Akinlade Adekanbi as Secretary of the Iwaye Adodo Ruling House. Alhaji Asade, an erudite scholar, a graduate of Arabic and Islamic Studies, a retired principal, a genealogist, an Islamic Cleric and elder stateman in Ipokia is a descendant of Oba Adeyelu our progenitor. He has held various positions in Islamic and social circles. He has bagged various awards in educational pursuit and he is an icon and epitome of good and moral virtues. He is indeed an OMOLUABI to the core who projects and protects the interest of all members of the ruling house with passion. Similarly, the Secretary is a young dynamic, sociable, accessible and front line personality who cares and protects the image of the family.

We have formally (in writing) presented Prince Alhaji Rahaman Adenle Asade and his Secretary to Ipokia Traditional Chiefs, Ipokia Sons and Daughters. What we are doing today is to cap up our efforts by presenting our choice to the Ipokia Traditional Chiefs here at the premises of Osunba of Ipokia Land, the existing most senior traditional chief.

Alhaji Raman Adenle Asade is our choice; he is the only genuine head of Iwaye Dodo ruling house. Any other acclaimed head is fake, counterfeit and should be discountenanced and not be recognized by our distinguished Ipokia Traditional chiefs.

Finally Ladies and Gentlemen, we have been doing our home work to select a suitable and acceptable candidate to the vacant stool. We are doing everything possible and leaving no stone unturned to ensure that when the State Government beckons on Iwaye Dodo ruling house to present a candidate to the vacant position, Ipokia and Ogun State will not be disappointed by our choice. You can see that we are peaceful; we are loving people and our procession to and from Ikunle where we presented our head and secretary of the ruling house has been peaceful.

We thank you for your support; we thank you for giving us attention; we thank you for working hard to move Ipokia forward.

FORWARD EVER! BACKWARD NEVER!!

Prince Captain Mikahil Adetokunbo Akinlade Adekambi (Rtd)

Elder stateman

Iwaye Dodo ruling house

Ipokia Kingdom.
