Ogun NUJ Pays Tributes Visit to Jiboku Family


The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council led by
the Chairman, Comrade Wole Sokunbi paid a condolence visit
to the family of Chief Abayomi Jiboku, a patron of the Union
who died recently.
The pen jurists in their condolence message said the death of
erudite educationist and Oluwo of Oke-Ona Egba came as a
shock to the Union.
In the message read; “The Union has lost a great
philanthropist who has positively contributed to the growth of
Nigeria Union of Journalists, not only in Ogun State but in
Nigeria.”
Sokunbi said this at the family house of the deceased located
at Saraki, Adigbe in Abeokuta yesterday 5th of February in
company of other members.
The Jiboku family welcomes the members of NUJ,
appreciating the visit and promise to carry us in all the
programmes.
Wole Sokunbi used the opportunity to tell the family of the
commendation service program the NUJ has set aside for the
deceased.
The program of the final journey of the body of Chief Abayomi
Oluwatosin Jiboku to the great beyond is as follows:
Commendation service on Wednesday, 14/02/18 at NUJ
secretariat between 2pm to 4pm, (fully sponsored by NUJ).
On Thursday, 15/02/18, Christian wake holds at his residence
in Saraki, Adigbe between 5pm to 7pm while church service
and interment holds on Friday, 16/02/2018 at St James
cathedral, Idi Ape from 10am.
Among those that are part of the visits are the Chairman of
the State Council, Wole Sokunbi, Chairperson of Nigeria
Association of Women Journalist, Remi Adebiyi ; Vice
Chairman Ogun NUJ, and other Chapels Chairmen, Secretaries
and members.
