OGHA PLENARY: OTUKOYA OTHERS LEND VOICE IN SUPPORT OF SAFETY BILL


Today at the Ogun State House of Assembly, Ogun State People's Democratic Party (PDP) legislators led by Hon. Olujimi Otukoya representing Ijebu North East State Constituency, Hon. Bowale Solaja representing Ijebu North State Constituency, Hon. Odofin Sonubi representing Ikenne State Constituency and others unanimously supported a motion on Health and Safety awareness in all organisations, insurance policy. The bill is aimed at ensuring the need to train people on security consciousness, proper handling of safety kits like fire extinguishers in cases of fire outbreaks, safety of lives and properties.

In another twist, in recognition of the good and meritorious activities of PDP legislators at the Ogun State House of Assembly, the honourable Speaker, Rt. Hon. Suraj Adekunbi   named the ever vibrant Hon. Olawale Hassan Alausa and Hon. Jemil Akingbade as members of a newly constituted committee to be chaired by himself.

On a final note, Hon. Akintayo Juliana representing Yewa North Local Government submitted a petition to the honourable speaker raised by Committee Development Association as regards land dispute between Alh. Mutairu Owoeye and his boss. She enjoined the honourable speaker to use his good office to attend to the issue as a matter of urgency.
