OWYPF REJOICES WITH OUR YOUTHS ON THE COMMEMORATION OF INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY.

Today, the leadership of Ogun West Progressive Forum (OWYPF), joins the United Nations (UN) to mark the International Youth Day — a celebration of the exploits and contribution of young people across the world in creating sustainable impact — under the theme “Transforming Food Systems – Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health”.

There are signs that the economy of Nigeria is recovering at a faster pace and government is taking steps to consolidate the support systems for the youth and more practically, empowered them to manifest their innovation prowess and contribute to not just the Food sub-sector but the economy as a whole.

Aside casualties, unemployment remains the worse concomitant crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic across the globe, Nigeria having its fair share. That notwithstanding, we have seen concrete plans by the government of Nigeria to accelerate sustainable job creation, enhance youth entrepreneurial drive and promote shared prosperity.

"National Youth day reminds us that we must always value ourselves energy of the country because we will make the future"

We would want to encourage Our youths in Ogun West to remain steadfast in their support and prayers for the Government as, collectively, we strive to win the fight against the pandemic and get the economy back to the higher pedestal it was pre-COVID-19.

It also call on we young people to be the young people who are going to underpin everything we do with the best of values, who are going to be rooted in principle in creating a Nigeria that we can all be proud of.

So we implore all the youths to become the change that we want to be, we must become the Vehicles of transformation, the Vehicles of innovation, the Vehicles of creating this great Ogun West, Ogun State and Nigeria of ours.

Signed
