Know Your Self Worth As Eagles Not Chickens RCCG Regional Pastor Tells Members.
The Region 12 Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Olalekan Julius has described Christians as a royal generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people that should show forth the praises of God who hath called us out of darkness into his marvelous light.
He said this on Sunday, June 13, 2021, while ministering on a topic 'The Unstoppable Eagles' at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Peculiar Peoples Parish Ibara G. R A, Abeokuta, Ogun state.
The man of God said that limitation bring stagnation, stagnation bring frustration that anyone who fail to flow or progress is static.
While discussing the Bible chapter Isaiah 40 verses 29 – 31, the clergy man said that God gives power to the faint; and increase the strength of those that have no might.
The man of God said there is need for power because the youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall utterly fall, but they that wait upon the Lord, he shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as Eagles; even if they run their strength will not diminish.
Speaking on the possible ways to overcome limitations, Pastor Julius said that as Eagles, it is important to have correct, godly and biblical perceptions of ourselves, that our major setback from moving forward in life is our inability to discover our identity.
He further said that having the right mindset is another solution to overcoming limitations, citing an example of the Israelites when they were sent to go and spy the land, the negative reports brought by some spies would have hindered the plans of God for them, if not for Joshua and Caleb who gave a positive report that revived the "we can" spirit in them.
He said that Christians should stop running from pillar to post because of witches that as Eagles they are in high places with the Lord Jesus Christ, which is far beyond the reach of the enemies and that only chickens can be captured and; be killed at will.
"The way you carry yourself is the way the world will carry you, you cannot advance beyond your self perception, it is important to know one's worth in Christ; until Elijah called on the God the answereth by fire, there was no tangible recognition.
Pastor Olalekan Julius said that the major problem is that many Christians are too comfortable in their present situation, many are ignorant to the extent that they are entering into negotiation with the Devil, when the Lord has given them all powers in heaven and on earth.
Speaking on the importance of vision, the Regional Pastor said that God instructed Abraham to look northward, southward, eastward and westward and all that his eyes saw would be given to him, he therefore stated that having a vision will give us a clear mental picture of where we are going, and by so doing nothing shall by any means hinder us.
The man of God posited that our minds could militate against our vision, therefore, there is need for all Christians to fill their hearts with the word of God.
He challenged all Christians to begin to see something great, a brighter tomorrow that until that is done, nothing meaningful can be achieved.
He admonished them not to see failure as the end of life, he gave an historical example of one of his mates who decided to commit suicide because of poor academic performance and that on his way he met someone who led him to Christ and his academic life became excellent.
Pastor Olalekan while making the altar call told the people that nothing can make a difference in our lives except the Lord Jesus Christ is involved in it, he enjoined members to live a holy life because the path of the righteous is forever shinning till the day of perfection.
In Conclusion, the man of God in his prayer asked for clearer vision, power and wisdom which is the principal and also an application of knowledge.
