Eid-il-Fittr: Ogun Central PDP Chairman, Hon. Taiwo Akinlabi Greets Muslims.

........ Urges them to Follow Covid-19 Lockdown Restrictions During and After the Celebrations

The holy month of Ramadan has come to an end and the Muslim community is geared up to celebrate Eid-il-Fittr. The festival is celebrated on the first day of the month of Shawwal, on which people do not observe fast on the said day. In the hole world, Eid is usually Celebrated a day after the crescent moon sighting in Saudi Arabia, which is considered sacrosanct.

The holy month, Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam and a great opportunity for all Muslims to purify their mind, body, heart and soul by fasting and praying to Almighty Allah.

The Chairman People's Democratic Party (PDP) Ogun Central Senatorial District, Hon Taiwo Akinlabi has n his Congratulatory Message to the Muslim Faithful, Rejoices with them on the successful completion of Ramadan. He Challenged the Muslim brothers and Sisters not to forget the good lessons of Ramadan learnt during fasting.

He Said this is a day which makes us together at one place, creates smiles on all Muslim faces, and increases our love for each other and some words can be left unsaid, some feeling can be left unexpressed, but person like you can never be forgotten on this day.

This is a period that calls for sober reflection in our dear country as many challenges are facing us, but I am very hopeful insha Allah we shall overcome all the contribute his or her own very best to the greatness of the country.

"However, Coronavirus hasn't gone away and it's vital that we continue to follow the rules to protect ourselves, our families and others. Following these rules, wearing a face covering in public places, and staying apart from anyone we don't live with is the best way to protect ourselves from Coronavirus and from new strains of it that have been identified and are still under investigation", Said Akinlabi.
