Fajobi Appeals to Gov. Dapo Abiodun to implement the New Minimum Wage.

The Chairman of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, Ogun state Chapter, Comrade Bunmi Fajobi has entreated the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun to implement the new minimum wage for Ogun state workers, as this gesture will further concretize labour and government relationship.


He mad the appeal today while givimg his opening remarks at the official commissioning of the Ogun Bereaucrat House, a multi million naira office complex for members of the Association.

Comrade Fajobi who stated in his remarks that the immediate past government made some promises to the Association towards the end of the administration but failed to deliver those promises.

The official commissioning which was part of the three days congress put together by the Association which had in attendance members of the Association all over Nigeria.

The Chairman, said that the little efforts seen today was as as result of the maximum cooperation received from the entire Association and more omportantly members of his cabinet.

Comrade Fajobi further appealed to the Governor to help the association on the issue of infrastructure at Koriko, where the Association is currently emabarking massive housing project.

Reacting to the pleas, the Executive Governor of Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun assured that his government will continue to provide an enabling environment to Civil servants in the state.

The Governor assured members of the Association that all their requests shall be granted not leaving out the issue of the new minmum wage.

Prince Dapo reiterated his commitment to the general well-being of Ogun state workers and promised that salaries will be paid on or before 26th of every month as that has become his tradition.

In the same vein, the former Head of Service Mrs Adekunle aplauded the efforts of the Comrade Bunmi Fajobi’s executive and enjoined them to make this a starting point.

The event had in attendance great people from the length and breath of Nigeria.
