POLICE NABBED THREE ARMED ROBBERS IN OGUN
Ogun State Police Command said it have arrested
three members of armed robbery syndicate who have
been terrorizing Ogijo and its environs for quite some
time now.
Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Police Spokesperson said this
in a Release sent to trendingmetro.com.ng this
Sunday evening saying "The suspects were arrested
at about 9pm of Saturday, 20th of January 2018
during one of their robbery operation.
"Policemen attached to Ogijo Divisional Headquarters
received a distress call from no.6 Baale Street,
Molatori Ogijo that robbers have invaded their
residence and they are been dispossessed of their
belongings.
"Having received the distress call, the DPO Ogijo
Division SP Tijani Mohammed led his Anti-robbery
men to the scene where they engaged the hoodlums
in gun duel.
"At the end of the encounter, three members of the
syndicate namely; Yusuf Odugbemi ‘m’, Tunde Asamu
‘m’, and Sunday Azeez ’m’ were arrested while others
escaped. Recovered from them are; one live
cartridge, two cutlasses and assorted charms."
Abimbola also added that "The Commissioner of
Police Cp Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the immediate
transfer of the suspects to FSAR for discreet
investigation with the view of arresting the fleeing
members of the syndicate; while assuring residents of
the State of adequate security at all time."
