ACP Ayo Edun and the PCRC Chairman Adatan Royal Area Command

The Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Adatan Area Command, ACP Ayo Edun has charged the people living around Adatan Area Command to join hands with police officers and the PCRC in Adatan Royal Area Command and Ogun State in general to check the manacles of element among Fulani Fulani's Herdsmen in the Command.

ACP Ayo Edun said this on wednesday 3rd of February 2021 at the Stakeholders meeting on the Security breaches in some part of the state by some hoodlums and criminals.

The ACP said Police is worried about the killing and kidnapping in some parts of the State and that is why we discussed the immediate and remote causes of the crisis and come up with lasting solution.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Police Community Relations Committee PCRC Adatan Royal Area Command Hon. Taiwo Akinlabi said he was overwhelmed, happy for the joint meeting between the baale's, Fulani's, Igede's, Hausa's and other ethnic groups. "The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the frequent crisis being led by some criminals among Fulani Herdsmen within Adatan Area Command comprising of eight Divisions".

"We organized the Stakeholders meeting to discuss extensively and bring suggestions on how to end dimerize in order to fish out the remote and immediate causes and bring suggestions on how to end it and I am happy that we will collate suggestions, advice and solutions from various stakeholders, which we will analyze and come up with communiqué".

Akinlabi assured everyone that solution will come from suggestions and he believe that now that everyone is seated with issues bothering all, adequate and proper monitoring that will address the issue frontally and in the best interest of Adatan Area Command and Ogun State in general.

Let us respect each other's trade, geographical space, history, culture and more importantly the issue of crime, kidnapping, murder all those things should be erased completely, said Akinlabi.

Speaking on the major causes of the breaches by the Fulani Herdsmen: as claimed by the Stakeholders, Carrying Cutlass, Gun, grazing in the mid-night and enter their land without the conscience of the head of the town and the major curses.

They also advised the indigenous to stop give land to any visitors without informing Baale, Kabiyesi or the Divisional Police Officer in their various community.

After the meeting, the Communique was issued by the Stakeholders and all the Security agencies that attended the meeting.👇👇👇👇👇👇
1) Registration of all Fulani's/Bororo Under Adatan Area Command.

2) To set up tactical Committee in all the Divisional Police Headquarters under Adatan Area Command.

3) To set up Reconciliation Committee among the Ethnic groups.

4) No Baale should give land to any Fulani's without the informing Area Commander and Chairman PCRC Royal Area Command along side with the Divisional Police Officer.

5) Inscriptions/Marking of Cattles with owners initials as means of identification.

6) Issuance of identity Card to all Cattle rearers.

7) No Underage/Minor should follow or graze cattles in our jurisdiction.

8) No Fulani's should carry Ammunitions, Guns, cultlass why rearingor Grazing.

9) No Fulani's should graze in the night.

The Security meeting was attended by critical Stakeholders under Adatan Area Command, including Representative of Alale of Egba land Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Ontesi of Orile itesi Oba Engr Adeniyi, Olu of Alabata Oba Abdul-Wheed Sanusi Representative of Olu of Odeda, All Baale from each community, Romo, So-Safe Corps, VGN Officers, Fulani's, Hausa's, Igede's, Markudi's among others.

Another Stakeholders meeting is scheduled to hold in second week of March this year.
