PMAN President Resigns to Contest 2019 Election.



 As the political fever continue to burn the atmosphere of the country, and in an effort to show that the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), being the largest union of musicians in the whole of Africa and the umbrella union of all Nigerian musicians, the Nigerian music industry has decided not to sit back and watch the political terrain anymore but to fully participate as it has thrown her weight behind her President Hon. Liege Lord Keston Muhammed Okoro Al-Amin who has declared his interest to contest the Delta state senatorial race for Delta Central Senatorial district. Hon Keston submitted his resignation letter to the national working committee in line with the constitution of PMAN so as to enable him concentrate on his national political assignment. The letter, which was submitted at an extra ordinary meeting, held in Lagos on Wednesday, 31st January 2018, which is exactly one year since the last election held in Abuja. The meeting had all members of the National working committee, some national executive members, elders and stakeholders of the Nigerian music industry. The resignation letter was accepted by the house who praised the President for the bold step and the following resolutions adopted by the vibrant musicians Union. The following vacant positions where replaced in line with PMAN constitution. Dr Gbenga Falope (Jnr) was moved from the position of 1st vice president to the position of the PMAN President. Baba Ojonugwa (JFO) was moved from the position of the 2nd vice president to the position of the 1st vice president of PMAN while Boniface Itodo (Aita Bonny) was appointed the AGS of PMAN, subject to confirmation as GS by (NEC). All of these where unanimously carried by members of the (NWC) Via seconded motions, and voting in line with PMAN constitution.
